Nursing a Toddler In Public Breastfeeding Outside
Our 2 1/2 year old daughter still nurses as her primary form of nutrition. She eats loads of other foods (see the cute ‘fake’n (fake bacon) vid I’m posting next) all day long – but ‘nuk’ is still her first and most important snack of the day. The WHO reccommends nursing beyond 2 years – (but 2 years is their min.) and as long as it is comfortable for both mother and child – not mother and child and the public or mother and child and whoever else wants to put their two cents in – it is a bond between a mommy and her child. Our daughter has no qualms at all about nursing in public, but she is becomming more ‘demure’ about it – as she sense my hesitation in certain situations… more information can be found on all manner of things at mommysalad.com!

The World Health Org. says breastfeeding your child for at least 2 years should be standard- beyond that only continues to provide both nutrition and comfort for your most treasured relationship. It really is quite an easy thing once you’ve gotten the hang of it… so new moms, “Stick with it, develop a good latch and get help right away if you need it!” We are an attatchment parenting, co-sleeping, cloth diapering, baby led weaning, no spanking, treehugging *crunchy* family with an amazing brood of kids! Lucky? Maybe. Or maybe, just maybe, we got it right.
